How to Make Egg Biryani?

Here is a step-by-step guide to making egg biryani:

Step 1: Boil the Rice

Start by washing 1.5 cups of basmati rice thoroughly in water. Soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes. In a large pot, boil 4 cups of water and add the soaked rice. Cook the rice until it's almost done. Drain the water and keep the rice aside.

Step 2: Boil the Eggs

Boil 4-5 eggs and peel them. Keep them aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Spices

In a pan, heat 2-3 tablespoons of ghee (clarified butter). Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 2 bay leaves, 2 cinnamon sticks, 2-3 cardamom pods, and 2-3 cloves. Fry the spices for a minute.

Step 4: Add the Vegetables

Add finely chopped onions, 1-2 chopped green chilies, and a tablespoon of grated ginger-garlic to the pan. Fry the mixture until the onions turn golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes and fry the mixture until the tomatoes turn mushy.

Step 5: Add Yogurt and Spices

Add a cup of yogurt to the pan and mix well. Add 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6: Add Boiled Eggs and Rice

Add the boiled eggs to the pan and mix well. Add the cooked rice to the pan and mix gently until the rice is coated with the spices. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes.

Step 7: Garnish and Serve
